How to Extract Audio from Video?

How many times have you watched a video with a fantastic piece of music on it? Wouldn't it be great if you could make it an MP3 file to play on your computer, or MP3 player? As long as you don't infringe on copyrighted material, there's a great selection of audio extraction tools that you can use to generate digital audio files from video. In this tutorial, we use our free program, MediaProSoft Free Video to MP3 Converter, to show you how easy it is to make your own MP3s from video clips.

Step 1. Add Video Files

Launch MediaProSoft Free Video to MP3 Converter and click "Add Video..." to input video files on your computer to the conversion list. You are allowed to add more videos to the list. After that, the thumbnails of the video and some other file info will be displayed. You can remove the files by clicking the "Delete", while "Clear" will remove all. Use "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons or just drag the listed files to arrange them in order to meet your demands.

Step 2. Specify Output Settings

Click "Select..." to choose output folder. Click "Audio" tab and specify output format as you need (There are three tabs "Video", "Devices" and "Audio", containing various supported formats). Then, if more precise output quality is required, it also provides many format presets for adjustment. Click "Convert" to start extraction.

Step 3. Start Extraction

After you hit "Convert", some extraction information and a progress bar will be displayed within just few seconds. Select the post-process options to automatically play the sound or shut down the computer as long as the extraction is finished.

When the process is complete, there is a summary report about the extraction. Click "Open folder" to directly find your extracted files.
